I grew up in Louisiana — the kind of place where summers stretch too long and the food is unreasonably good. My parents were missionaries, which meant I spent chunks of my childhood in places like Sri Lanka and India before eventually making my way back stateside and bouncing between cities most people don't connect as a natural sequence.

I started out in sales and marketing — Salesforce, Oracle, a bespoke tailor, Apple retail. A lot of different rooms, a lot of different people. What those years gave me was a sharp sense of what actually matters to someone sitting across the table from you.

Somewhere in there I realized I kept gravitating toward the product side of things — the thing being built, not just the pitch around it. So I started building. First as a side project kind of thing, then as the main thing, then professionally.

Sights Studios was where I figured out I could actually do this — shipped React Native apps, Astro sites, AWS-backed products. Solo. No safety net. Corporate Tools is where I learned to do it with a team — shipped an AI training platform, led frontend on an AI website builder.

The through-line is probably this: I'm drawn to the spaces where something technical and something human are trying to talk to each other, and I like being the translator.
